# Claude Code — Iconforge MCP

1. Create an API key at your Iconforge account → **API keys** (`icm_…`).
2. Copy `.mcp.json` into your project root (or merge the `iconforge` server into an existing `.mcp.json`).
3. Replace `https://YOUR_DOMAIN/api/mcp` and `icm_YOUR_KEY`.
4. Optional: copy `CLAUDE.md` into the project (or merge its rules) so the agent knows the purchase workflow.
5. Top up **credit** before buying paid icons.
6. Restart Claude Code / reload MCP, then try: “Search Iconforge for a free chevron right icon.”

`mcp-remote` bridges the hosted HTTP MCP server into Claude’s stdio client.
